After having a few boys, two expecting parents were excited to finally give birth to a baby girl in Elk Ridge, Utah. However, months after her arrival, cops were left horrified to learn what the parents decided to force inside the innocent child’s body just hours after her birth, and now, they’re behind bars where these sick people belong.
Colby Glen Wilde and Lacey Dawn Christenson
Colby Glen Wilde, 29, and Lacey Dawn Christenson, 26, were overjoyed when they gave birth to their little girl. Unfortunately, the baby’s birth exposed one of the duo’s sick secrets, forcing them to come up with a twisted plan that has now gotten them in a whole lot of trouble. Sadly, the parents went several months before the cops learned what they forced into their innocent daughter’s body mere hours after she entered the world – and it will make your gut churn.
Their secrets began to unravel when Wilde and Christenson decided to go to a Walmart with their three older boys and their infant daughter. While they were there, Wilde thought it would be a good idea to take several items off the store’s shelves and attempt to return the store merchandise. He was able to complete the return and get a cash card but was stopped by the store’s security officers. However, when they began to question him, he attempted to make a break for it.
As he fled while carrying his infant child in her car seat, he quickly realized she was slowing him down. After smashing the carrier into several things and dropping it, he eventually ditched his daughter with a stranger and ran off. Moments later, a sheriff quickly spotted the erratic man in his vehicle attempting to flee, and he was quickly arrested on “suspicion of DUI, child abuse, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without insurance,” according to Daily Mail.
Christenson was later found by the sheriff inside the store with her three sons and was also arrested for an outstanding warrant stemming from a traffic violation. After being taken into police custody, Wilde and Christenson were eventually released on bond but were re-arrested on July 18 after a subsequent search of their home found narcotics and caught Christensen in the act of smoking heroin.
While being questioned, police were horrified to learn what they admitted to giving their newborn daughter prescription narcotics within hours of her birth to mask the effects of heroin withdrawal. In fact, they confessed to rubbing Suboxone on her gums when the nurses weren’t looking, simply to save their own butts and hide her heroin addiction.
Sadly, when police tested the infant, she was positive for methamphetamine, heroin, and morphine. Making matters even worse, the two youngest boys also tested positive for methamphetamine, possibly from second-hand smoke. “It makes me sick to my stomach, for a number of reasons,” said Utah County Sheriff’s Sergeant Spencer Cannon, according to KUTV. “You’ve got an infant who cannot do anything for herself, and the people who should be providing her nurture, and love, and care, are the ones who are harming their child.”
As a result of Wilde and Christenson’s shocking admission, they have each been charged with distribution of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, a first-degree felony. In addition, they also face charges of possession of use of heroin and methamphetamine, endangerment of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia and are each being held pending a $10,000 cash bail.
As for the children, the father of Christenson’s oldest son has offered to take and been granted custody of all four children. Although their young bodies have been exposed to drugs as a result of their scum parents, it is a relief to know they are no longer in that situation and are in a safe and loving home – a place these children may know little about.
Being a parent is probably the hardest job in the world. However, it is something much more rewarding and enjoyable when you actually care for your children and put their needs first. Clearly, these scum parents had no clue about this natural selflessness, as they were so concerned with their drug addiction that they were willing to put their own children’s lives at risk. It’s truly a shame, and it’s clear that they are in need of help. Hopefully, this is their wake-up call to get their lives in order before they kill themselves or, worse, someone else.
